Julia is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist treating infants and toddlers, birth- 3 years of age along with their families in home-based early intervention within San Diego, CA. She specializes in feeding; supporting both breast and bottle.  She has her advanced practice in Swallowing, Assessment, Evaluation, or Intervention (SWC) by the CA Board of OT.  She is certified as a Lactation Educator thru UCSD and is trained in Infant Massage through International Loving Touch.  She has training in NDT (Neurodevelopmental training) and is a CCS (California Children’s Services) paneled therapist.   Julia grew in her career thru varied work as a travel occupational therapist.  She has been working as an OT since 2004 in inpatient, outpatient, NICU, early intervention, and school-based practices.  She even worked overseas in Sydney, Australia where she was on a school-based team doing home and school- based visits for the Department of Disability, Ageing and Health Care (DADHC).   She is the mother to 2 very busy boys. Becoming a parent helped her to become an even more empathetic therapist.   Personally, navigating feeding difficulties with one son related to tongue tie along with weathering a PICU stay with her second son due to him contracting RSV at 10 days old.  She is looking forward to sharing new strategies with families learned thru the TTM curriculum.

She speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese and loves working with multicultural families. In addition to TTM training, she also has certifications in supporting young children with oral restrictions (tongue ties) for both pre- and post- frenectomy, primitive reflex integration, and baby reflexology. Passionate about the impact that a supported and well informed caregiver can have on their own child, she uses a caregiver coaching and collaborative approach to improving function and enjoyment in daily routines and play.

Lizzie has been a practicing occupational therapist since 2010 and solely dedicated to pediatrics since 2011. She currently holds her Advance Practice in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, or Intervention (SWC) by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
