I’m an IBCLC and registered nurse with over 13 years in paediatric and child and maternal health nursing. I have been in private practice for nearly 7 years now.
I work largely with tongue and lip tied babies who require assistance to return to optimal oral function and feeding (breastfeeding and babies who are bottle fed). I am Orofacial Myology trained and attended The Cranial Nerve Dysfunction in Precrawling Infants presented by Michelle last year in Las Vegas. I’m TummyTime!™ Method trained and find that TummyTime!™ Method fills a gap that a lot of the babies I see need.

I have been a board certified lactation consultant for 4 years but with many years of volunteer experience before that. Empowering parents and babies has always been my passion. I teach prenatal breastfeeding classes and also do home and office visits to help with infant feeding, tongue ties and functional issues, introduction to solids, and weaning. I also mentor interns as they work to become IBCLCs. I am excited to teach the benefits of TummyTime!™ to parents and babies!

My passion is anything to do with Birth and babies and has been for over 30 years. I am always learning something new. I have just retired from working occasionally in a busy Labour and Delivery Department but can still reflect on all the mechanics of birth that can so disrupt the shape and movement of the baby. I have for so many years felt a strong need to learn everything I could on skin to skin and Kangaroo Mother Care and had the privilege of first really learning it while on a trip to South Africa and in the Hospital where Dr Nils Bergman did much of his research. This led to needing to know more about self attachment which now morphed into tummy time and all that entails. The whole circle of my learning journey begins and ends with better outcomes for babies and their mother or parents.
